Section 1 (Teamspeak Rules):

 

A.) To be in the game server you MUST have the TeamSpeak

 

B.)To be in the game server, YOU MUST BE IN THE TASK FORCE RADIO CHANNEL IN TEAMSPEAK.

 

C.) Don't spam - don’t troll other players, talk gibberish, and etc ...

 

D.) Harassment, racism, and very abusive language is not permitted - You will be banned          

E.) Your name in game must match in teamspeak.

 

F.) Do not switch channels consistently

 

Section 2 (Gameserver Rules):

 

 

A.) You must read the Lakeside Valley

 

B.) Disrupting our gameserver with stupid, immature behavior is not permitted. Anyone found doing so will be removed. - Includes spamming, taunting other players, or RDM.

Users caught spamming will be banned for a time frame according to the severity of their spam -  Stay Off global chat or be kicked.  DONT DO IT.

 

C.) Check specific rule sets (PD Rules, EMS Rules, Civilian Rules, Traffic Rules and etc...) for more rules that apply to the varying sections.

 

D.) No crime is allowed in the Greenzones;  Greenzones are as follows: 50m around any NPC, PD Fenced areas, ATMs, Civ Spawn, EMT Base

 

E.) Running into a greenzone whilst in a combat situation makes the zone no longer a "green zone". This means you can still be shot/robbed/killed. You cannot use the greenzone's as an excuse for poor role-play

 

F.)While in game, you are to be in character. This is a hardcore RP server, and we expect you to RP to the fullest extent. If you fail to RP, you will be removed from ArmA 3 Life for disrupting gameplay for others. (Starting a bank robbery and then immediately leaving the scene is considered Failure to RP).

 

G.) Looting players is fine

 

H.) The NLR ( New Life Rule ) is as follows: You die, fully die as in respawn. You forget all details that led up to your death ( Killer, location, etc; ) . You can remember friends, who you work for, and  etc; The only things you forget are the killer, cause of death, location, people involved in your death, and the events that led up to it. You are not to return to your death site for a 1km radius circle around it for the next 15 minutes . Unless in the city, then it would be 500m.

 

I.) If you are interested in RP'ing as a Lawyer, or Public Defender, you are required to be in a business suit, or at least a tie. You cannot show up in full rebel uniform, trying to be a lawyer.

 

J.) RDM is considered killing without RP. RDM Is a 24 Hour  ban if found.

 

K.) VDM - You are not allowed at any point to use your vehicle to kill another player. VDM is considered killing without RP. RDM Is a 24 Hour  ban if found.

 

L.) Any Players that have been revived by a medic - must go with the medics to the hospital to continue role-playing and can't reengage in the activities that caused the revive (Accidentally Death, VDM, RDM and etc applies to this rule)  Failure to comply will result in a 3 hour ban and/or perm ban

 

 

M.) Driving through town unrealistically will result in a 3 hour ban. After that, a perm ban will be issued. Drag racing is permitted but police may detain you for doing so. If you are driving recklessly(\(\(\(speeding, weaving in and out of traffic, and etc...) but realisticly, you will NOT be banned but will be pursued by the police is spotted just like in real life.

 

N.) Players are to utilize the crossing walks located at the intersections.  If you do not utilize the crossing walks located at the intersections, you will be cited and or arrested if spotted by police.  Jay walking is illegal and is punishable by a citation or even jail time. You CAN NOT be banned for this.

 

O.) Stealing EMS vehicles / destroying their cars is not allowed. Only EMS can drive EMS vehicles, do not hinder their ability to do their job.

P.) Ifrits, Striders And armed Off-roads are illegal and if you are caught with one they are eligble to be crushed and the police are allowed to use any means necessary to stop them

 

Q.) Hacking is your account's responsibility. We don't care who actually hacked, whether it was your brother, sister, turtle, etc; Its your account, take responsibility and keep control over it.

 

R.) Baiting/taunting the police to engage in a police chase by speeding up and down the street and blocking the street is not tolerated. You will be detained by the police for doing so.

 

S.) Any city/town is a no fly zone, you can't hover under 200m, if you want to land, you must land in an open field out of the city/town limits. If you do not do so, you will be cited and/or arrested

 

T.) During any admin event that does not require weapons, No Weapons will be used During the event near or in the event premises. Failure to comply will result in a ban of any duration(up to the admin).

No Cops in the event will be able to arrest, or detain someone for brandishing weapons during that event.

 

U.) Combat logging is absolutely not allowed and is a bannable offense, and generally an obvious rule on most RP servers. If you have time to play, then you have time to wait for the respawn timer to end.

 

V.) Side chat is ONLY for advertising services and businesses, you have Mics, Radios, and tablets to communicate, offenders will be kicked. You need to be permitted to advertise. Anyone who is not permitted will be kicked.

 

W.) We do not tolerate stream-sniping in any form. Anyone caught using streams as a source of knowledge either in or out of game RP will receive a hefty ban. You may never watch an A3L stream and play at the same time. This does not matter if you gain information from watching the stream or not. NO STREAM SNIPING-FULL STOP.

 

X.) Impersonating a POlice, Medic/EMS, or a Lawyer is against the law. If you do so, you will be arrested.

 

Y.) Bank Robbery Rules:

1.)Must contact police before firing. Negotiation, is a must.

 

2.) Cannot rob the fed for 45 mins after the last robbery. cannot rob the bank more

 

Section 2A: Traffic Laws

 

A.) Speed Limits:

 

    1. City Limits: 45 km/h (Game Speed Measurement)

 

    2. Small Town Limits: 60 km/h (Game Speed Measurement)

 

    3. Main Road Limits(2 or more lanes): 100 km/h (Game Speed Measurement)

 

    4. Dirt road: depends on conditions (Game Speed Measurement)

    5. 1 Lane road outside city or small town limits: 80 km/h (Game Speed Measurement)

 

 

B.) Must drive on right side of street (US Laws

 

C.) Illegal to pass other vehicles

 

D.) Must obey all traffic lights, signs and arrows

 

E.) Illegal to park on sidewalk

 

G.) Must yield to all emergency vehicles

 

H.) Obstructing traffic is Illegal (Must pull to the side of road)

 

I.) Failure to use headlights during Dusk til Dawn is illegal

 

J.) Failure to use signal  is illegal

 

K.) Failure to yield right of way to pedestrian crosswalks  is illegal

 

L.) Following an emergency vehicle  is illegal

 

M.) Following too closely  is illegal

 

N.) Open Container  is illegal

 

O.) Noise Violation (Loud Music from vehicle)  is illegal

 

P.) Leaving vehicle unattended  is illegal (unless properly parked)

 

Q.) Too fast for conditions  is illegal

 

R.) Street Racing  is illegal

 

S.) Baiting Police  is illegal

 

T.) Reckless Driving  is illegal

 

U.) Driving Under Influence  is illegal

 

V.) Possession of Drugs and Related Paraphernalia  is illegal

 

W.) Must possess Valid Drivers License

 

X.) Fleeing or attempting to elude police

 

Y.) Unauthorized Use of Sirens, Whistles and Horns  is illegal

 

Z.) Also including all U.S. Traffic Laws that are not listed above

  

Section 2B: Firearms    

 

A.)  Possession of any caliber weapon larger than 45 ACP  is illegal

   

B.)  Discharging weapons within any City Limits  is illegal

   

C.)  Must possess a firearm licenses in order to carry concealed   

 

D.)  All weapons must be holstered when interacting with other civilians and Police, And inside City limits   

   

E.)  Selling weapons to civilians is illegal

 

F.)  Any firearm used in criminal activities will be confiscated

 

G.) Possession of any fully automatic firearm is a felony offense. Any weapon with the ability to be fired at a fully automatic rate is not a  lawful weapon. This illegal weapon charge will be added in addition to a weapon that is a higher caliber than what is legally allowed.

 

 

Section 2C: Lawyers

 

A.) Must be whitelisted to be a lawyer

 

B.) Will be Searched by police. weapons will be taken

 

C.) Must not have any warrants out for their arrest

 

D.) Must not have any felonies on record

 

E.) Must not have been directly involved in the reported crime/incident

 

F.) Public Attorney is only available if an authorized Attorney can be reached. Upon no Attorney being found, Police can sentence you to jail

 

 

    Section 3 (PD Rules):

 

Section 3A (General Civilian – PD Rules):

 

        A.) It is illegal for civilians to be inside of the Police Department fenced in area. It is considered a PD Restricted Zone.. It is illegal for you to be in these areas, and will be met with fines or in game jail time.

 

        B.) Stealing a Police Vehicle from the Police Department grounds is not allowed, you  will be met with lethal force.

 

        C.) It is punishable to take and wear any Police clothing. You will be arrested for impersonating a police officer if you do so.

      

 

Section 3B (Police Lethal Use of Force)

 

A.) Police are cleared to use lethal force towards anyone who is a direct threat to themselves, or one who is partaking in some of the following crimes:

When your own, or someone else's life is in DIRECT danger.

Flying Over the prison (No fly zone, will be met with a warning shot, then lethal force)

 

Section 3C (Search and Seizure)

 

A.) Police have the right to identify all occupants of a vehicle during a traffic stop. (No Meta Gaming)

 

B.) Police may search any civilian only if that person consents to a search. If there is evidence, probable cause, or a warrant for this person, then a search is allowed without consent.

 

C.) Police are able to search and inventory all civilians taken into custody, as well as searching any vehicle that should be traffic issue related.

 

D.) Police can setup checkpoints that allow police to check licenses, and vehicle registration, but  cannot search an individual civilian unless probable cause is there or the person consents to the search.  

 

 

Section 3D (Police Policies)

 

 

          A.) The only officers who are able to have a ‘Sniper’ or larger weapon, or tactical accessories are officers with the SWAT training, or CERT training. Or given permission by the highest ranking Officer on.

 

          B.) Officers must always have some form of non-lethal on them, unless in martial law.

 

          C.) Officers must obey all traffic laws, unless responding to an emergency call. Officers must also utilize their lights and sirens while responding to   the calls. If they are the reason for an accident, they can be held responsible.

 

          D.) Improper vehicles parked or blocking areas, the officer must attempt to contact the owner of the vehicle. If no response is given, a tow truck may be called.

 

          E.) All vehicles in a crime must be impounded or towed from the scene.

 

          F.) Officers may restrain a civilian for upwards of an hour, at most, to gather evidence on a crime. Also a civilian may be restrained if they officer feels their live(s) may be in danger but there must be a valid reason. An example of an invalid reason is: he has a concealed gun.

 

          G.) Sheriff Dept. should be patrolling outside of the city limits, but may come into the city to assist the local PD.

 

          H.) Only Deputies in the Sheriff’s office are allowed to drive Sheriff vehicles.

 

          I.) Only PD officers can drive Police Dept. cars.

 

          J.) Officers must respect their own PD Chain of Command.

 

          K.) The areas inside the MAIN Doors of the Jail are considering in custody. If you do not read the rights, and discuss charges to the person you are arresting, before you put them in jail, you are in the wrong, and they can get out. Rights and charges must be read and discussed with the suspect before going into the Jail Walls.  

 

          L.) Miranda Rights must be read to all individuals before being questioned or arrested. They are allowed to have a lawyer present during questioning.  (Based on the availability of Officers on as to whether the additional RP can be continued during this time- less than 5 officers)

 

 

 

          M.) in order to drive a un-marked police car you need to be a sergeant rank and have the teaspeak UMA (un-marked approved tag). this only applys to the dodge charger

 

       N.) any police officer playing as civilian or police gets  a warning tag will be Demoted. if you are banned you are removed.

 

Section 3E (Police Aviation):

 

          A.) Police Helicopters can only be flown by trained and licensed PD officers.

 

          B.) Helicopters cannot be landed on road. unless there is an Emergency. (police only)

 

          C.) Helicopters can only be flown at a low altitude during a PD Emergency, or assisting in apprehending a suspect.

 

          D.) Helicopters cannot be used to ram / fly into other helicopters (**GLOBAL SERVER RULE**)

 

 

Section 4 (EMS Rules):

 

          A.) EMS are a neutral force. Do not take sides.

 

          B.) You are not to revive players in an active firefight. Wait till it’s over.

 

          C.) Drive like a responsible person. Just because you have lights and sirens doesn’t mean you can drive however you wish.

 

          D.) Respect rules apply, to all members of the EMS.

 

          E.) Use the vehicles you are allowed to use according to your rank.

 

          F.) No criminal activity is allowed as an EMS. You are neutral, do not work with criminals. You cannot aid them.

 

          G.) Use proper radio procedures, no stupid talk or mic spam.

 

          H.) To operate an EMS helicopter, you must have passed your EMS Flight School training with an EMS Command.

 

          I.) You are to do your best in your attempt to revive all players.

 

 

     Section 5 (Staff Powers):

 

         A.) Owner/Founder and Head Admin have the ability to kick, ban, remove players, etc; freely. - Whenever we feel it is needed.

 

          B.) Administrators can kick, and ban players for a period shorter than 3 weeks. Must ask for extension in ban request areas.

 

         C.) Moderators can kick and ban for a period of 1 week or shorter.

 

         D.) Helpers have no powers, but can ask a moderator or higher to look at something on behalf of themselves.

 

    Section 7 (Ban Procedures):

 

         A.) All ban requests must be posted in the public 'Ban Request' area on the forums, under the 'Support' category.

 

         B.) To submit a ban request, please give proof. Don't say " I saw it " - No, we want video evidence of the issue, or we will not be able to help.

 

         C.) Admins are to follow the same procedure, but if they witness the issue themselves, can issue the ban on the spot.

 

 

 

         D.) Game Server Ban Times ( May Vary ):

 

       1.) Attempting to use modified PBOs/Files to modify the ArmA 3 Life mod, or your stats in the mod.

That means to ask a question, threaten the nerd that just ran over your boy/girl friend and etc.  If there is an issue that someone has caused a server or rule violation, you are to continue the RP and immediately move to "Requesting Assistance ".
